on the hunt...

(just a pretty house that is not for sale)

We started house hunting last month. Which is so exciting, but I am quickly learning is also exhausting and completely frustrating. The hunt has consumed my thoughts, quite a bit of my free time, and my emotions have already been highest of high hopes and lowest of low letdowns.

I am slowly starting to come down from the initial high and realize I need to relax. Trust that our home is out there and we will find it. We are lucky to be so blessed in our current situation and don't need to feel rushed. It will happen in time, I just don't know when that time will be.

Oh life, there you go throwing in a lesson on patience once again.

You'd think I would have learned that one by now...

  1. Wow I was about to hate you if that was your new house... J/K that would have been an awesome house. That's so exciting a that you guys are looking though. I used Redfin a lot when we were looking. Good luck!

  2. stacy! i am a friend of Bri's & our little ones have the same birthday. bri was telling me that you were searching for homes & i just wanted to direct you to my husbands website - you can search for all homes online! he would be happy to do the leg work for you guys & has fabulous taste!!

best of luck with the search - being married to a realtor has certainly taught me that there is in fact the perfect home for everyone & it will happen <3

  3. We have house hunted 5 times and each time I get discouraged by all the houses we look at but each time we find a great house. And so will you. Good luck.

  4. I love this house, I sometimes go out of my way just to drive past it. I actually kind of have a loop in the older part of this city. One day... Good luck!

  5. Cute. Be glad you can take it slow - we had 3 days to find our house! Personally, I think it's nice to get a home you can MAKE your perfect home. Just make sure it has the good things that aren't changable, like a nice lot and a nice location. :)

  6. Love the rounded front door! -btw

  7. i hear you about the highs and lows! we've been searching for months and we're finally in escrow on our first house. my husband and i are beyond terrified and yet also completely smitten with the idea of being stewards for our own little pocket of earth. yours is out there waiting for you too; i'm sure of it. :)

  8. @kayti - thanks! i will definitely check out his site!
