baby bump: week 32

32 weeks down, 8(ish) to go! I feel like the days are speeding up as my belly grows. This weekend I suppose I realized just how little time I have left and as a result I cleaned the bathroom with a vengeance - and a toothbrush. Then I proceeded to inform Husband of all the house projects I wanted to get done before the baby arrives and he didn't turn and run, so I was once again reminded how lucky I am to have him. If all goes as planned I should have a freshened up shared nursery to show you in the coming weeks.

This was my Grandmother's old choir dress from the sixties. I've only ever worn it once before because it is a bit big on me normally but it fits pretty much perfect now. She passed away two years ago this month so it feels kind of special to be able to wear it.

As far as baby girl goes, she has decided to plant her little bum in my right ribcage which can be a bit uncomfortable at times, but she is doing well and so am I so I can't complain. I just need to start getting ready to meet her! Did you have any crazy nesting urges?

  1. You are looking so lovely! I realized 2 weeks before my 2nd was born that I hadn't done a thing to prepare beyond setting up a crib. I started pulling out clothes and was interrupted by a frantic trip to the hospital where she was delivered by cesarian that very day. Luckily I pulled out the newborn stuff first and had some in hand-literally-when we went to the hospital.

I felt a little gypped on the whole "nesting" thing. Maybe when we have another I'll bust out a toothbrush :)

  3. You look great in that dress! How fun that it is your Grandma's. I love the belt & black cardigan & cute bow that pokes thru. :) I didn't really do much nesting aside from cleaning. We had to use his nursery as a guest room when my mom & sister came to visit. I didn't have his nursery set up until he was about 3 months...haha!

  4. You're just a week behind me! (But you look much cuter than I do) I've been nesting like a crazy person, it's awful. I know I have everything ready for the baby but for some reason I still feel like all of the closets need to be organized before she gets here too.
